Early on in the project, permission was acquired from the National CASA Association to utilize the curriculum to train CASA volunteers for the Professional Development Program workshops. (Volunteer Manual, 2007) The volunteer specific information was extracted and the material was tailored to the target market disciplines. Workshops were created from the edited curriculum. Efforts to market the Professional Development workshops to secure training contracts with the Administrative Office of the Court and Department of Children's Service were made simultaneously. At the same time, an opportunity presented to partner with the Tennessee Certification Board to offer a series of workshops that satisfy requirements for the Certified Prevention Specialist designation. Other opportunities have evolved through the marketing efforts. The first workshop was held in July 2013. Below details the progress as of December 1, 2013.
