Carolyn Evans facilitating workshop at TCB Annual Prevention Conference on November 4, 2013 at Paris Landing State Park.

CASE STUDY

CASA was asked to conduct a two-hour workshop for the Tennessee Certification Board Annual Prevention Conference at Paris Landing State Park in November. Pre and post assessment tools were created to measure the effectiveness of the workshop relative to the stated learning objectives. The learning objectives are to increase the participants’ knowledge base and skill sets and, therefore, increase their work’s effectiveness with abused and neglected children. There were 50 participants and all the attendees work in the field of drug and alcohol prevention with the following types or organizations: community prevention coalitions; nonprofits affiliated with prevention; colleges; direct service for treatment and recovery.  The workshop objectives were tailored specifically for that audience.
